Our Community Midwife helps pregnant women look after themselves and the health of their baby. We give you information about pregnancy and help you to prepare for your parenting journey.

We also visit the family home following discharge from hospital to check on you and your baby’s health, to give you support and advice on feeding and to help you adjust to parenthood.

Where is it available?

Antenatal (before birth) care is available at our Cobram and Numurkah campus.

Postnatal (after birth) care is available across Nathalia, Cobram and Numurkah communities and is usually arranged as a visit to your home.

What does it cost?

Individual sessions during your pregnancy are free.

Visits to your home following birth are free.

How can I access it?

Most people get a referral from their doctor. You can refer yourself or be referred by another health professional, family, carer or advocate provided you give your consent for this.
