Feeling unwell? Get Tested for COVID-19
NCN Health is encouraging all community members who have very mild, flu like symptoms to get tested for COVID-19.
NCN Health CEO Jacque Phillips said with restrictions easing across Victoria, the next step in the fight against COVID-19 is to get tested for the virus, even if you only have very mild symptoms.
“If you are feeling unwell, please get a test. Symptoms of COVID-19 include any of the following; fever, chills or sweats, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose, loss of the sense of smell.”
Ms Phillips thanked members of the Moira Shire who have responded positively to the testing clinics during the pandemic and said it was important to remain vigilant.
“The community have done an amazing job following the COVID-19 restrictions set out by the Department of Health and Human Services and the Government. I know this has been very difficult at times, particularly for people who have not been able to visit family members in hospital or residential aged care.
Ms Phillips said there were still only a total of 11 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Moira Shire and this was largely a direct result of community action.
“Thank you to everyone, who has followed the rules, stayed home, practiced social distancing and good hand hygiene.”
Swab testing is available to anyone showing symptoms, however mild, of COVID-19 including; fever, chills or sweats, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose and fatigue or tiredness for no identified reason.
