Odd Socks Day
NCN Health together with Yarrawonga Health celebrated Odd Socks Day on October 15…
Odd Socks Day is a National Mental Health Anti-Stigma Campaign, developed and run by Grow Australia since 2013. The intent of Odd Socks Day is that Australians wear odd socks to show that anyone can have an odd day. This promotes conversations and demonstrates understanding that people struggling with their mental health are not alone.
One in two Australians will experience a mental health problem some time in their lives but we know that many recover and maintain their health and wellbeing. Seeking help early and having the support and understanding from family, friends and work colleagues are important aspects to making a full recovery.
