National Carers Week, from 11–17 October, is an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the carers in our community who provide unpaid care and support to a family member or friend. Caring can be rewarding, but carers also need support for their own health and wellbeing. Help is available, and connecting with services can make a meaningful difference for both carers and the people they care for. This week, we share the story a local family who access Carer Support through NCN Health - highlighting the value of care and support close to home.
Read moreNCN Health has completed two rounds of consultation to help select a name for Numurkah’s new Public Sector Residential Aged Care Service (PSRACS) and its three households. The naming consultation provided residents, families, staff, volunteers and members of the broader community with opportunities to suggest names and provide feedback on shortlisted options. A preliminary selection has now been submitted to the Victorian Department of Health for consideration and approval. Once approved the name for the new PSRACS will be shared with our staff, residents and community.
