It involves preventing and relieving suffering and treating pain and other problems, physical, psycho social and spiritual. NCN Health offers Palliative Care for the whole Moira Shire. The Moira Palliative Care staff and district nurses are located at NCN Health Numurkah Campus.

Our palliative care team are here to ensure your quality of life is maintained. Palliative care compliments the range of medical treatments you may already be receiving. The service is individualised to you and what you feel is important in your medical care.
Moira Palliative Care also provides bereavement support to carers and families.

How can I access Palliative Care?
You can self refer or be referred by a health professional HERE
You can also contact your doctor (GP) or contact the Moira Palliative Care Team directly on (03) 5862 0558 or in person at the Primary Health Reception, 2 Katamatite Road, Numurkah.
When can you contact the Palliative Care Team?
Monday – Friday (except public holidays).
8:30 am – 5:00 pm
Can the Palliative Care nurse come to me?
Yes, Palliative Care Nurses can come to your home, residential aged care home or hospital.
How much does it cost?
Palliative Care is a free service.
