Image of Cobram Campus Urgent Care Centre Released

The image shows the redeveloped urgent care centre from Broadway Street perspective, with new entrance, separate ambulance access and separate main entrance.

The redevelopment includes updated facilities, increased floor space and improved staff and community safety with two waiting areas and security features.

NCN Health Director of Operations Justin Sullivan said the project was getting underway with demolition of some areas starting this week.

“Hoarding and barriers are now in place to commence the first phase of demolition.

Additional insulation on the hoarding will assist in noise management for patients, visitors and staff.

“Access to the health service is still via the main entrance, please follow the signs and stay on the footpath. After-hours access also remains unchanged and is through urgent care centre. Please follow the footpath past the main entrance to urgent care.”

Mr Sullivan said Theatre services in Cobram will remain diverted to Numurkah during the redevelopment.

“A reminder that Theatre services are paused in Cobram for the duration of the build and patients will be able to access theatre services in Numurkah.

“GPs can continue to refer patients for surgical procedures as normal. Patients will be able to attend the pre-anesthetic clinic at Cobram campus and will be contacted when surgical referrals are received from GPs. Patients will still be able to access the same surgeons and theatre at Numurkah campus.”

The needle exchange which was previously located at the front of the health service near reception, has now been moved to the front of the Community Health building off Charles Street.
