NCN Health provides Urgent Care and Emergency care at each facility in Nathalia, Cobram and Numurkah. The Urgent Care Centre is located in the main building of each hospital and operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

All patients seen by a doctor for Urgent Care are seen as private patients of the doctor and will receive an account from the treating doctor. Payment to the doctor is the responsibility of the patient, you can claim some of this cost back on Medicare. The nearest public Emergency Department with medical staff available 24 hours a day is at Goulburn Valley Health, Graham Street, Shepparton.

When receiving medical care, it’s important to know what to expect to ensure that you can get the best outcome possible.

Here are 4 things you can expect when you visit our Urgent Care Centre:

  1. Patients will be seen in order of how sick or injured they may be. This may result in varying wait times when you visit our Urgent Care Centre.
  2. Our Urgent Care Centre is staffed with highly qualified and experienced nurses who will assess your condition and decide whether a doctor will be called to assist your treatment.
  3. If a doctor is going to help with your treatment, they may charge a fee which will involve a gap payment.
  4. If required, you may be transferred to another hospital by ambulance. In this case ambulance fees will apply. It is strongly recommended that you join Ambulance Victoria to avoid unexpected charges.
